Ok, thx. So I will go ahead and send the reminder. Is there any way this issue could be clarified in the rules so that other new players do not get confused like me? Could this also be one of the reasons some of you are not getting all your loss reports?

If you die report to all left in the game: if you last till the end of the game report to all who have a higher score than you. Since in all but ladder epics the only victory condition that can be met is conquest, that's all you need to know. Now, I'm confused... In my last game I was playing in a CTON against 3 others. At the time victory I came in 3rd, and reported a loss to the 1st and 2nd players. The 4th player should have reported a loss to me according to what you're saying. I was going to send a polite reminder to the last player, but I decided to double-check the rules (to verify if there is any reference as to how much time should elapse before doing so), and found the following under "Who to Report to": "In 'free for all' matches…or matches in which multiple opponents are all competing against each other without partners each of the losers of the match reports a loss to the one overall winner."So which is correct?

This rule really needs to be addressed this is getting out of hand, i yet to file nonreports yet as it would just backlog the system but there are us who know rule report to all left alive or ahead in pts. But it seems with the rash of new eager ladder players they seem to believe they only need to report to those who killed them no death no report, this is totally out of control we cant have people just reporting how they feel. Soon you will have divided ladder one who you know report and a ladder of nonreporters I'm new and a little uncertain about who I should be reporting losses to... If I understand correctly, in the situation where: 1) I am eliminated and other players remain: I report a loss to all that remain after I am eliminated. 2) Someone fulfills a victory requirement: I report a loss to all of those who have a higher score than me? or just the victor? Are there any other situations I should be aware of? I read through the rules earlier today, before I played my first ladder game, but the loss report issue is still somewhat vague for me. For instance, for games where there are more than 2 players, something was mentioned about reporting losses in order of rank...

Hello all. This morning I thought a ladder was an instrument that allowed one to reach high places... Then I played my first MP game and just about everyone quit before it even really got going. One thing lead to another and, following a link at Apolyton, I found you all, joined, played my 1st MP ladder game, lost and loved it. Everyone stayed to the end, was polite and nobody lambasted me for any noobisms I might have displayed. I understand that some are feeling frustrated because this community may not currently be fulfilling your expectations. Perhaps it is due to the influx of new people like me and perhaps not. I read the ladder rules and will try to abide by them to the best of my ability. I don't yet know the etiquette involved in ladder games, and it is very possible that I may step on someone's toes by accident, but that is all part of the process. Had I needed to be invited, I would have not had the opportunity to join and would not have been able to enjoy a serious MP game today. I guess what I'm saying is that with a little patience you might just find that some of us noobs will contribute positively to the community. Please be patient, the open nature of this ladder is greatly appreciated on this end. polarnomad
