I dont understand why I finished first in points...I was bringing up rear all game....Maybe because I never entered a war, thus got some kind of bonus?

The game window is larger than the screen...use scroll buttons to get to bottom right corner forthe scores...

I got a bad cap too...tundra and ice...atleast i got a few resorces ......i think im cut off from most of mainland by mountains. Time to tech for galleys... . Simultaneous moves...so all must move before the game can advance to the next turn.......the civs you saw not played yet, are players who couldnt logon until tomorrow. Two of them I believe......

The game has now started...waiting for those of you with passwords....first turn. I think there are still a few spots open. Email the colonel to find out. When you join for your first turn choose the civ you have been given/chosen and password it. Then take your first turn...oh dont forget to leave your e-mail in the options/details menu, so you will get e-mail notification of your next turn....32 hours before timer runs out on first turn, or everybody/all civs have taken their first turn..... Thx

Hi, I would be intrested in playing...I`m also going to be playing an epic PB Warlords game which starts Sunday. A few questions...How long do you think a full epic game will take to finish ?...or will you save it after say 10 hrs or so... and finish it the following weekend. And generally what kind of settings are you thinking of ? Thx

When I need to move a certain unit first I do the following: 1.Make sure all cities have a second order for production,(no popups) 2.Make sure tech isnt finishing next turn, and if so pre order next tech,(no popup) 3. Make sure all units including workers have movement or work orders for the next turn. So absolutely no popups next turn......Go to unit you want to move. Then move just as turn ends. Sometimes you can get unit to move a split second after the turn starts. I have been pretty sucessfull doing this, but you cant always win every race... .

It was on the front board...problem it is so far down the page...most people dont see it. I advertized in the lobby for 4 hrs at a regular basis, before the tourney started.......I will try to create my tournaments a week ahead of time. Mostly weekend tourneys.......so intrested players can check the tournament calenader every weekend and wont miss them....Thx

Hi, I have hosted enough tournaments to do a Swiss style tournament, which would run over several weekends. Ive been reading up on it. In this type of tournament, every player plays in every round regardless of his or her match results. (A player may withdraw from the tournament after any round if they no longer wish to compete.) Each win counts as one (1) point, and each loss counts as zero (0) points. There are two types of swiss style tournaments. "Regular and True".
Regular:
The tournament is finished as soon as there is only one player remaining who is undefeated. The number of rounds is set before the tournament in order to specify a maximum number of players. If the tournament is set for six (6) rounds this does not guarantee that there will be six rounds of play, since players withdrawing from the tournament may shorten the number of rounds required to reach an undefeated player. If for some reason after the given number of rounds has been played and there is still more than one undefeated player, the tournament will be extended in order to determine a winner.
True:
In True Swiss System format, the TD presets the number of rounds before the tournament starts and regardless of the number of registrations, the number of rounds does not change once the tournament begins. (The TD can still manually change the number of rounds prior to the tournament.) After all the rounds are complete, the player with the most points wins. If there is no conclusive point leader there is no winner of the tournament.
Difference between True and Regular Swiss System:
If you have a tournament set for 8 rounds of play, and you have one undefeated player left after 5 rounds, in a True Swiss System tourney play continues, giving those who are behind a chance to still win the tournament. However, if the tourney was being held by Regular Swiss System rules it would have been over and a winner declared as soon as there was only the one undefeated player remaining.
So I may be setting up a "True Swiss System" tournament in a couple of weeks, which will run over several weekends. I would like some input on wether or not this might be popular tournament format, and an indication of how many people might be intrested in playing
Thankyou.

Hi, I`m currently playing a PBEM with Colonel_Trieze. Its a 1vs1 CTON 130 turns standard ladder game. We are about halfway through and average a bit better than 1 turn per day. So I would be intrested in a game with you, though a full one player per continent game seems better for a several player game....like maybe a 4 player PBEM Epic ladder game. So if its 1vs1 Ladder game...how about standard settings for a 130 turn CTON. If its 3 or 4 players, (more is hard to keep going)....then a Custom Cont map with 1 player per, no TT , normal speed, Barbs on, Small/Temp/Med..default settings, would be my choice. BTW I never reload a turn I`ve just played... . Send me a first turn file.... ... Thx
