i have the following -
Pentium 4, 3.0 cpu 1 gig Ram 128MB DDR NVIDIA GEFORCE FX 5200 8mb connection
When i start a game there are no problems at all. However when the game begins, after say 5 minutes (it varies) the game freezes on average 15 seconds then goes back to normal. This keeps on happening at indifferent intervals. The game freezes for a bit, the screen is there, the mouse stops the game stops then it unfreezes.
any idea what the problem is?

this MAY or MAY NOT work, depending on your settings, but make sure graphics resolution is on LOW, all animations are frozen, game pop-ups are minimized, and quick-move/quick-combat are on.
it DOES make a HUGE difference.
if this doesn't work, I don't know what to tell you because this is the PERFECT game and there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with it.
k?
lol

Is this a multiplayer problem only ? how about in single ? lag in a single player game would be VERY VERY difficult to do, lol.

Are you sure you have the latest drivers? The 91.47 driver is the latest. www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_91.47.htmlCS

ATI is not always worth the circutry it s printed on. My 2 Nvida 7950s do just fine.. Like their owner now AMD... But we are all free to our own opinions. Yes I agree that the video card is the culprit, so any 6 series Nvida or above or any 9series ATI. Also another 512 RAM would also make your and everyone elses MP experience much better.

You have a slow graphics card but pausing for 15seconds at a time isn't a slow graphics card symptom.
My guess would be the network card if it only happens to you in multiplayer. There are some very cheap cards out there that come with drivers that lock up for moments at a time. Try and find the make and model and update its drivers.
In fact update drivers for everythings, including the graphics card drivers that canuck posted above. There is some driver or software somewhere in oyur system causing that 15seconds pause, it isn't just the slowness of the system as a whole.
