Members of Civplayers League have been invited to take part in a Team Pitboss Demo Game hosted by Apolyton. "Robworham" has volunteered his free time to be the Admin for this game and "Beta" has volunteered to be the host for the game.
Right now the details have not be decided on except that the game will not start until after the next patch has been released.
What I am looking for is a Civplayers member to volunteer to become the Captain of our team. Being a Pitboss game this will involve a long commitment, so if you think that you can't lead this for the next year or more you are probably not the person, but if you do have the time and plan on being here to represent the best MPers around please email me at csoldier@telus.net
This is one more opportunity for the MP community to show case itself as not just the best at civ but show that we are a force in the Civ fan site community in general.

I remember some time back, the ladder community participated in a team democracy game. I personally did not get very involved in it, but I seem to remember a lot of other people did. How did that game turn out? Did the ladderites win? Who were the active players on the ladder that participated the first time? Has the ladder participated in more than one intersite democracy game? IF we do get involved in this, will everyone argue endlessly or will we just let eyesofnight make all the decisions?

Actually the last Democracy game that c3c played in is still going on. We made it to the finals of 6 teams. 3 teams on 2 different continents. Unfortunately we dominated the game so early that the other two civs on our continent felt threatened by us and tag teamed us. Actually one of the teams said they were on our side and backstabbed us when we were taking out the other civ.
Unfortunately for us we could not defend against 2 civs on our continent and were forced into castaway mode sitting on our 2 1 city islands.
That democraCY GAME HAS LASTED FOR OVER 3 YEARS NOW.
Not sure how long one would take in civ 4 but be prepared for a long one.

The original Civ4 ISDG is still going as well, not sure the exact status but Tony could give us a synopsis without violating the security.

There's also a PitBoss one going on. I've been hosting it since August. PAL vs CDZ vs CFC vs STG. I tried to recruit APO; but got no response.
I'll play in any new one.

We're 1 and 2 in pretty much every demo going into the ren era, but i guess you never know what will happen.
And cobra ... CIV4 demo games are played using pitboss, so no huge delays. Although there was the mistake of not making the first one pitboss, which was awful thinking.

Ok I'm still looking for a leader(s) for a team(s) for this demo game, I'm not sure how many Civs will be in this game, something I've asked to clarify, but the public forums for this game are open at Apolyton here. apolyton.net/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=326Please post here first that you want to be a team leader before posting at poly. I'm sure that this will be a fun event and that a couple teams from the league at least can take part and do very well as we usually do. CS

Ok your hired Whip, feel free to create a public join-up thread in the general area here. And soon I'll make a secure team area to discuss issues. CS

In one of them (original civ 4, Pangaea) we're 1st in GNP, 2nd in MFG and 3rd in power, 2nd in techs. And we have non-agression pacts with almost everyone. 7 players left there. Overall, we're in a good position since top 3 teams advance to the second round. 2nd game is 4v4v4v4 Civ 4 BtS, continents. We were lucky with the start so i think we hold top 4 places in almost any demograph. I think this one is impossible to lose at that point as we can win even against all 3 teams.
