You put way too much time into bad mouthing this game. The funny thing is, you spent just as much time talking about how great WIC is and it sucks. You also continue to bash canucksoldier every oportunity you get. It's like bashing your local volunteer fire department. How about you just keep your mouth shut or give up your own time to run the perfect ladder. You seem to know it all, how about you make it happen, but I think you are one who just sits around and bitches, but can't actually take action to solve a problem. More than half of the world is like this so don't get too down on yourself. PS. You remind me of my grandmother bitching about nuts on tv when you can just turn the f**king channel. WIC doesn't suck. The ability level between the pro-level gamers and amateur level is huge though. Tell the guys that are playing WIC in the CPL that the game sucks, they'll just shrug you off with the cash that they're winning in tournaments. You should jump onto TS more often, the last time I talked about WIC, I was telling Wiz how the game doesn't have as much depth as Civ. I do believe WIC has alot more potential, but they've been late on releasing the SDK for mods which would greatly expand their MP base. So yeah, I've been praising WIC as of late. I do criticize Canuck, but not every opportunity I get. The difference between my arguments and the mud slinging that goes on here is that though my views are unpopular, I'll go out on a limb and put them out there. Just because I get called a few names it doesn't mean I have to give up being civil during the discourse. On the topic of knowing it all, no, I don't. I admit that in my posts. As to making it happen, if you look at my posts, I've been trying to make things happen. However, there seems to be no proper channel to have my requests reviewed and if feasible, put into action. In fact, that is what ALL my posts are about. So fine, let's go through this crypto. The core problem I have is when I see a problem, I will point it out. I suppose to some extent, it is bitching, but I do try to attach possible solutions. If one isn't supposed to bitch about problems to get them fixed, then how do you get them fixed? ----> You go to someone who can fix it and that someone is CanuckSoldier who has the last say on the ladder in regards to putting a plan in motion. Again, my problem lies in that Canuck is judge, jury, and executioner. I'm not so dense that I would go off and threaten to make my own ladder. Who would come? So I settle for the next best thing, shooting ideas by CanuckSoldier and the rest of the ladder through the forum. As I have stated earlier, CS shoots suggestions down fairly quickly. So with all this, if I feel I have a good idea or criticism, I will lay it all out there now. I do appreciate criticism of my posts, but when they are crass I really don't know how to respond with anything other than a post like this where I have go to and explain the whole situation again. The ladder crew is not seeking any new admins. I would apply. As for being a TD, I have done that for a CCC or two. Unfortunately, I have not had time to play in a CCC let alone TD for one. However, you've put a challenge forth and I'll go see if I can get onto the TD team. So, I'll put my money where my mouth is, will you do the same?

Ok, put Dey as admin, see how it goes. I think dey and canuck could interact better behind the scenes.
I vote for Dey, Longhorn doesn't want to do it anyway.

Actually, you could start your own if you really wanted to. Personally I have the power to do so because I have my own custom rating system based on expected outcomes that I already use on a much bigger and more powerful site for tennis (Yes, much bigger and more powerful than even what you're developing). The real issue is that it's not worth the time because Civ4 is too small. If Civ5 is good I'll probably go ahead and make a competing ladder. As long as you have a mind for marketing and a better system, there's no reason you can't make a ladder to compete with canuk. Canuk has no real advantage when it comes knowledge or features. That much is clear simply by his posts.

Wow, that was a completely unexpected reply. I never would have expected someone to reply with that. Gee, I even explained why I wasn't starting one in Civ4. Who would have guessed someone would reply with that?

Oh, is the spokesman for Canucksoldier, who has said he is going to quit Civ4 about 50 different times and never does, trying to be witty with such unoriginal drivel?

I don't know - visit us a little less frequently and continue to share more and let us know (we can only hope, lol) In the mean time - go VERY VERY far! (and continue waiting for "Civ5" LOL!)
