If you can't communicate with your team you shouldn't play teamer. It seems quite obvious. Teamers are all about team strategy.
And randomly saying "yes" isn't speaking english ;D

While I agree that a teamer everyone on the team should be able to communicate with each other, I do not agree with requiring everyone to be able to speak English to join the ladder. This ladder has always been a world wide ladder, just look at our logo, it is the entire world there. Yes English is the primary language of the ladder, it is not the only one.

LOL - good post nemz.
Which reminds me, we were hashing this issue out last night at an american grocery store, the man in front of me and the cashier = HUGE fight because someone didn't know spanish.
Finally I intervened, told the stupid phuck in front of me that THIS is america, IF he wanted to LIVE here and WORK here, then he'd better learn spanish like the rest of us.

That's ironic....do you know that the USA actually does not have an "official language", due to the fact that the gov doesn't want to even try to bridge that contenous issue. CS

Personally, I have a biased against the genderless, ageless civvers living in nowhere land.
They should be restricted to yahoo.checkers.com.
I mean, GOSH, how do we know that "tony" isn't latino or hispanic?
que campesino, jejejejeje

Actually after reading all this the only one that has made a valid point is Ellestar. All people of all languages should be allowed to play civ in any form. That is what the ladder was set up for. However, if you are hosting a teamer or any form of a game that is going to require communication, it is the resposibility of the host to ensure that all will be able to communicate. I completely understand Tony's reaction and was in the teamer on the other side that won. He was very upset then and I beleive for a valid reason, as the person that was put on his team had no english at all and it was in a shuffle. So to make it easier for all, please if you are hosting ensure all are able to communicate with each other.
Thanks DustyDragoon

Well, I'm french and a girl. That's not help me I would understand that if you play futur or modern teamer and can't communicate with the teams becomes an issue. But anciant or even classique, let me laugh. Now if you played with noobs, it is an other story.

I guess its not political correct and sZhitz, but i agree with Tony, a lot of us not born in Eng , make spelling mistakes, not to mention lestat, making more than he should just because its fun, but if y in a game (teamer or not) u must expect players to be able to understand basic eng, if they prefer german or french or whatever, they got clans there too.
