I guess some of you have some kind of problem with me. I've played 1000s of games with all of you. 99% with no probs. I dont claim to be awsome, but I'm way better then what the sh$t talkers say I am. If you got a problem with me, dont be a p#s$y b$t(h, say it to my face. Grow a pair. You think you're gods gift to civ when your really just an average player at best. I could whip you on any givin day.
This is my help for those of you who are elite in your own minds but can't seem to prove it to others. These tips are used by some of the most elite players(and those who espire to be) on this ladder. (more and more lately)
1. Reporting is for loosers. Elites only report when they get asked to or non-report gets filed. Once they find out you wont ask for a report or your to lazy to file, you'll never get reports.
2. Reporting after each match is for newbs. You can't build up winning streaks if you report the losses. People wont ask for reports right away. File all your losses for the day at one time. Or just wait till people ask for a report or a non-report gets filed. This will help you build your rank.
3. Play the same people everytime. This way, even if you do get forced to report, it wont hurt your rank.
4. Force scraps. If it looks like your gunna loose, just do everything you can to force a scrap.
5. Quit. Get sub. Best way to avoid loosing.
The people that do this kinda crap should be the ones being singled out. I've done nothing but play each game with honor, respecting all. I don't deserve to be booted from a teamer when I was there early, played just fine in the game before(with the same people and helped to win), waited till 8 of 8. Only to get booted to make room, then see the game go 10/10. I guess this was just fine with the other 9. People I play with everyday. I see honor and respect has no place in the civ4player ladder.

The So Called Elite Teamer Crap raises its ugly head again Its Nothing new TheGreatSatan it happens almost everyday if Some so called "Super Elite" player enters the Lobby wanting a Slot in A Teamer Then The not so Familier named Elite gets Booted 9/10 times sad but true!
Bad Sportmanship Definately maybe But People Like playing Clan versus Clan games IE Ray V God for example.
Can or will anything be done about it Doubtfull But the Only way perhaps would be to Reduce the amount of time You can play the Same players in One Day!
Do I Care no couldnt give a Rats Ass I Tend to stay away from Teamers due to I Prefer Playing for Fun Not for Some So Called Elite player to NOOB it UP big style and Then the game gets Scrapped after waisting possibly 2 Hours of my Civving Day!

I don't actually think you are a noob tgs and you've even killed me in a cton before. But some of the generalizations you made rubbed me the wrong way. Here's my counter-list: Tips for being a noob 1. PM host of elite teamer 20 times and cry why you can't join. Oh sure we have 9 veterans, we absolutely want to add 1 noob so that they die on turn 10 to 1 archer. 2. Ignore the fact that these "elites" are probably friends and enjoy playing against each other. They must be purposefully trying to exclude you, because civ4 is, after all, ALL ABOUT YOU! no one else. The purpose of "elites" is to ignore noobs. 3. When in a teamer, ignore "veteran" teammates and team captains. You know what you are doing, nobody could possibly give you better advice than the vast store of civ knowledge stored inside YOUR skull. 4. Only build 1 worker, but spam 5 empty cities with no units whatsoever. 5. If it looks like you're going to lose (heck you lost 2 out of 5 teammates), absolutely refuse to concede. Make them pay for killing your teammates. It's their own fault for not letting your team win!!

You where there, in both games. I didn't get booted because "elites" wanted to play with friends. I got booted because a certin player wanted me out. My computer & my connection are both solid, I don't have probs connecting. I work with my team. I'm always the first person to concede. Sure in my 1000s of games I've noobed some, but who hasn't. If you are saving all your reports for the end of the day, you know who you are. If you constantly skip reports, you know who you are. I don't want to offend all elites. There are some standout guys out there. I'm pissed off by the wanna-be's. They know who they are.

Where did I say im good? I can say it now IM GOOD IM GOOD IM GOOD - but I sure didnt when you wrote that reply. Now you can whine about that . What I was saying on a general notion is that most "elite" players are nice. Biasing them on a general basis saying they are all bad is just plain wrong. On the other hand I think its great of thegreatsatan that he wants to root out the none reports and quitting of teamers. These things will if kept unchecked destroy the ladder.

I report after every game even when I say I'm not going to.
Put simply most of the people that play together nearly all the time do so because it is hassle free to do so.
The best way to get accepted is to first do well on the cton circuit so your profile looks decent and you know the game and so when you get your chance to play in a game which is usually a preserve of the knowns you don't make a fool of yourself.
There is no conspiracy, just that it is more fun playing people you know to be good at the game and with whom you can have abit of banter.

Name and shame. Name and shame! What works for paedos will work for Civ l33ts... The ZzzzzZ makes lots of nice points btw. But then I can understand why people would think some act in an elitist manner so .

You dissing on me is the same as say a professional soccer player is stupid for saying "Im from A.C Milan and I dont act when i fall to get a penalty." and that that has nothing to do with a discussion on acting to get a penalty. Notice the simelarity "Im in ray and i report straight after matches" in a dicussion about not reporting in matches. Take a chill pill man.

dude who cares about stupid win streaks? its just a game. I know im not the best player on the site but if u get sum1 saying "sry u cant join" u say thanks and act cool because if u act angry you will be treated with disrespect....and sick of people not reporting on time? talk to admins and if its the same guy over and over again just talk to him and let him know if he doesnt start reporting hes gonna be hearing a mouthful.....eitherway tgs i always welcome u into my games as well as many other ladder players that i have a fun time playing with. if i dont have a fun time playing with u i will never invite you to my games. and hosts that are influenced by 1 guy need to seriously get a life.....1 guy shouldnt decided for 8 others.

Ironically, I found this post before I created my own like minded thread today. The term 'Elite' in many ways seems to be the one who can berate, belittle and condemn other players, often the same players, through the course of a game(s). Lets keep in mind that this ( civ) is recreation for many people on the ladder as we read this thread. I am sure this will be an ongoing topic. These special (short bus special) 'elite' players want to have a it both ways. Coaching and advising is not bad, presumably welcome at times. However, it makes for an uneasy team environment when you get the feeling you better get a trauma unit to their place because their 'orders' are not instantly carried out. Typical problems are created by the overbearing civ parent: dissent within the ranks of the team - conflicting orders, especially when there are multiple civ parents, resulting in lost time, moves and often cities and games! - the parent gets in trouble at home spending too much time watching for things to criticize. Mentoring and constant barking out of orders(often with silly/stupid/rude/ignorant comments) are not the same, the latter will always be less effective than the prior, think about it. Satan, I was in both the games you mentioned. You missed nothing in the second match; aside from a 20 minute pissing contest, degrading into "I'm the best playa on the ladder" make an asss out of yourself festival. There was the talent at work; the elite in peek performance. Actually, I really enjoyed the spectacle, in a painfully humorous kinda way.

Well I can honestly say that I'm FAR from being elite...and it has been difficult at times to get into teamers. I'm ALWAYS willing to follow someone elses lead if they are better/more exp'd than me. I just want to improve my game, not prove my manhood on the ladder. (Some people take this WAY to seriously) 99.99% of the time the "elite players" have been courteous and helpful to me and I know that they just want to avoid someone blowing a game in the first few turns. Most of the teamers I've lost have been from a team-mate doing just that. IT'S JUST A GAME!!! Have fun, be competitive, do your best to win but don't freak out on some poor new guy because he screws up. STUPID NAPPY HEADED NOOBS!!! J/K!!

i g0t 3 things 2 say
1. WTF! n00biono was in both games and yet someone booted greatsatan. i would boot n00biono for even freakshows like warhero and ermak.
2. I confirm DD reporting. He even reported me immidate when host changed map to greatplains last minute and his team got on empty plains while my team gots wood as far as eye can see despite say not reporting jack. Teams decided to play on though and Zanz and PunceFANATIK not report pretty for this game. I email both like a good sechemetary and still no reports. u both make pretty cry a river.
3. Polyn00b not report me. I have only restarted 1 week ago and already chasing more tail than el presidente. I email polyn00b and then nonreport polyn00b but he is 4 when i should have email in my bank of his hanging corpse surrounded by angry canucks and other assorted mounties.
4. ullan00b files non-report against pretty yesterday for match i think must have been he subbed. did not bother to email me though despite all the heavy paper work i am doing emailing all this n00bs. so u no wot ullan00b. i shove your report up my pretty little ass.
5. when i learn to count to 3 i will apply 4 admin and then u can all burn in my funeral pyre.
vote 1 PHM
