Also that games allows the veteran player to give more advises to the noob, cause he just needs to control 2 or 3 players in less land. For that, we need 2v2 or 3v3 teamers instead of 5v5-6v6. I said it like 4.5 months ago because IMHO it was a better way to learn how to play. But how many small teamers do you see in lobby? Also, previously we played 5v5 with 8 experienced players and 2 less experienced players. That also worked fine. But for that you need some captains that like to babysit them, like Tommynt and Germania ;D

Im not saying that we need to do 3v3v3v3 with 1 noob in each team, or 4v4v4v4 with two noobs on each team. I just say that we just need to play multiteamers, it doesnt matter if one team has 2 noobs and another just 1, cause if one team has 3 vet and is going to win on points and then that team is going to receive triple or four teams attack. In that teamers if one captain dont want to babysit, he can do it, but then he has less chances of win, but i think that all capts will try to win teaching the noobs. So we can combine a open auto register in the ladder with plenty games with teams with 3/4 players on each game.

I make some small teamers. I much prefer them. They get going much quicker. With less people I just enjoy it because you don't feel kinda drowned out. And it is much easier to work as a team.

We understand you, we just say it's a horrible idea Small teamers are much better if you want to teach new players or if you want to learn something. We have enough mindless 5v5-6v6 teamers as it is, no need to make it even more stupid with 3v3v3 or something like that. And if you want multiple sides play ctons.

Stupid idea or no, you can see that kind of games in the lobby all the day and that stupid games wasnt able in C3C, so maybe im not the only stupid. Im sure that kind of games will allow the CIV ladder to grow.

www.users.qwest.net/~trayk/UltraQuickCiv1.0.zipThis is the ultra quick civ mode, place it in public maps folder. It's too bad every player must have a mod to make game work, if it was simply a matter of a host having it then we may see more variety. sned players to forum to hook up some mods and scenerios when you get a chance guys

Well I'm in favour of making C4F and official recommendation, and I can add a link to it in the invite emails, but I don't think making it mandatory would serve a purpose, as we have no way to enforce it even if we did make it mandatory.

CS the purpose it has is so people can check for each other in lobby when some one drops thats purpose enough in my book

I hope QC and UU-madness are in the next CCC, if only to give us some variety.

Auto invite pros:
very few active members
presence in lobby indicates a vast majority of multiplayers dont take the ladder serious, or dont care
any chance to talk someone into becoming an active member is killed by "sorry, u cant play with us this game, but sign up and we'll see you in a few days"
Auto invite cons:
invites troublemakers, but we have no members anyway
Ya, as a minority in the lobby it probably best we not act like elitists. We have few members, many of our active members are so egotistical its crazy. I stopped playing ladder games almost 2 months ago now, just never any games and if there is its always the same map. Sadly atm, the real civvers are not on ladder.

Sadly atm, the real civvers are not on ladder. You are right zerza, the problem is that we dont help any new player to become ladder and we are a minority. As a example we can get this post, the post start talking about how to increase the ladder and in the middle everybody talk about what kind of games prefer vets. We must talk about how the ladder can increase his members, it would be helpfull if that spam about QC, OCC and the prefered games for the veterans stops. Im going now to delete my post in that direction. We need to be more polite to the non ladders and also we MUST open the ladder registration.

The problem is that a majority of nonladder are part of the anyoing agressive lil kid internet group.
I ll list some possible solutions again:
- active playing admins which are around in lobby to advertise ladder and handle registration after talks right away
- different styles of games
- maybe open ccc to nonladder clans
- clearing out the advantage of civ4f and makin it default for ladder players
- pointing out that we dont leave games and usually have less connection problems
- maybe make some permanent add (in form of a open game title - if some1 can do that)
Oh well in the end the game is too crappy
