One of the reasons I can't/wont play realtime MP is that I'm red/green colorblind. I cannot instantly discern friend from foe. I brought this problem to the attention of the developers during the CIV4 beta testing but nothing was done about it. With so many potential civ's the only solution would be to allow the player to select colors at the start of the game.

To be precious if it bts or not in OCC must be no limits for national wonders. Every national wonder scored ... quess in bts is still more then 4 national wonders. I put NW above to make example how many NW exists not for NW rating... noobs. Its bug and must be patched. Does any 1 understand what hes trying to say Yes, he's saying that the only civ game that he can play is OCC and since the BtS Xpak, he'll have a hard time doing that.

i was playing an epic and the person next to me was the exact same colour as i was, not only was it confusing on the charts the boarders would join, becoming one, making it difficult to tell the actual culture line.. That person would be me BTW we had different civ : Maya-Persian, there was about 3 Persian and 2 maya in the game It really is a bother, for 3 reasons : - I had graphs of my only 2 neighbourgs (Ironman Type-Hub map) That means at the beginning, being second on GNP, I couldn't know if I was second to someone else, or just behind GEF. Later on, same happend with power graphs, couldn't know if the raise of power was me replacing my warriors by some Rifle/Infantry, turned out it was Huge stack of Cavs... - Boarders mixed up, this is lame, especially if some ressources are in the middle. - It is difficult if possible to defend, just land in the middle of 3 cities, and the opponent only has 8 sec to 1/realize 2/Figured out which unit are his, which are opponent's Patch 303 changing that and the ping would be an easy to do, really necessary patch.

Starbucks is a nation wonder to us americans, and btw, you canadians can take home your tim hortons! Well that's one difference between us, Canadians go to Tim Hortons for a coffee and might have a doughnut etc, Amercians go for a doughnut and might have a coffee Starbucks haven't made any real dent here, and Crispy Cream opened one store in Toronto....and couldn't make a dent in the market here. Tim Hortons on the other hand has 40 stores or so in the states and is expanding, we are slowly taking over CS we cant help it canadians dont know a good cup of java or a doughnut anyways, the ping is really more annoying than helpful... i hate being pinged for a solitary unit roaming near my territory... if we can build 5 national wonders in an occ game, why everyone in a huff? seems like you need 10 or more the way they cry FFS!

I agree its very stupid you can't hunt down spies that are not in cities. Really need a way for that.
Yes but they have to remain stationary in a city for atleast one turn to perform a mission, which also increases the chance of them getting caught...but yes it would be nice to have a way of detecting spy's in the open.
CS
The city part and missions work fine. The game ruining part is they can remain outside cities without being able to be detected and killed. This way you can basically have a scout in any location you desire without it ever being killed or removed.
This is what in some ways ruins the game.
Rest about BTS is top quality, except for the PING change. But this issue is very serious and multiplayer game braking. You should not be able to have complete freedom of scouting enemy actions.
Sure scouting ok, but there should be a way to detect and kill these scouts. Even if it was difficult. Make spys able to have a chance to detect enemy spies? Make anti spy unit? Some variable you can allocate gnp to have a chance to detect spies in your territory.
Also it should be possible and very necessary to be able to track them in open territory outside your own borders.
Permanent unremovable and complete scouting is really bad. I can see this being a reason(just by it self) why a lot of people won't play BTS.
This is really sad, as a lot of the new things are really good.
put it here also if it gets more developers attention.
If you need explanation why this kind of scouting is unbalancing and game braking, let me know...

I don't know if this helps clear things up or muddies it further, but here's a comment from a member of the development team: Spies may be caught while moving in enemy territory (which may or may not reveal their nation of origin). Note that Spies can always move into rival territory and can not be killed by regular means. An extremely important factor is your espionage ratio with the rival civ. If you have 500 EP against a civ and they have 250 EP against you, your missions will be considerably cheaper and your chances of being caught will be lower. Spies may also fail a mission, but in that case, you will not lose the EP, merely the Spy unit. Therefore, there is no random dice roll that essentially makes you lose a number of espionage points. You can read the entire review at Apolyton: civilization4.net/3/263/478/

Yes I read Solver's entire review, including the espionage chapter, but it's rather vague as well. And he hasn't responded to my post in the testers forums so it's unlikely he has anymore details than I do, atm. But I've asked Primax to dig into the xml and see what he can find about the mechanics of spy detection.

Hope we get some answers on this spy issue soon. Its brutal in teamers and a very unfair advantage, otherwise teamers simply become organized ctons, playing for score.

Why are any of those a MUST? I don't see the logic here. Decisions are great. Now if the national wonders were all more evenly distributed powerwise....so it would be a real decision...that would be splendid. In OCC y suddently cant do every national wonder, y are restricted (2) may be a choice off will. But it spoils OCC so i hope its a BUG and will be fixed. Wot u can build 2 or 5 or all? 1. wall street is must 2. red cross is must 3. heroic is must 4. schotland yard is must 5. hermitage is not must 6. ironworks is must 7. mt rushmor is not must 8. .... If we can build only 2 forget occ in bts.

It seemed to me like my workers were catching spies....but even if this wasn't the case and it was just a random fluke, what if workers really did detect spies whenever a worker ended a turn on top of a spy? That would be pretty cool imo...

anyways, the ping is really more annoying than helpful... i hate being pinged for a solitary unit roaming near my territory... But we need to get teammate attention in a teamer otherwise team wont be playing as a team, but does not have to be that extreemly loud, could be just a nice "ding" in warlords a series of pings was terror.

2 national wonders only ? Bah Thats bad for OCC. If you still think it doesnt hurt OCC you never played a good OCC game ( or you are not able to play a good one ) Did any tester played a OCC game during testing ?
