Dear Friends:
The Seventh Nation's Cup (NC VII) will be held over the weekend of June 1-3, 2007, using CIVILIZATION IV Warlords, latest patch. Please read the rules and schedule carefully.
Please register in this thread anytime prior to Friday, June 1st at [glow=red,2,300]15:00 pm[/glow]. at which time it will be locked. A team will consist of a minimum of 6 players with a max of 25. More then one team per country are allowed, however all additional teams that enter per country will be added in after the first team from each registered country. A maximum of 16 teams may enter, first-registered, first-served.
The same person can play in a maximum of 6 events (including being a substitute).
To play you must have been a CIV4Players member in good standing for 7 days prior to the NC.
The winner of NC VII will be the team who has amassed the most points. If there is a tie, after 14 events, a playoff match(es) will determine the winner.
Here is the point system for scoring:
1st Place = 10 points
2nd Place = 7 points
3rd Place = 5 points
4th Place = 3 point
In some events, where there are two equal semi-finalists who come in 3rd and 4th, then each will receive 4 points.

This event will not count toward event limit per player. All available players may enter this event. The TD will break everyone up into groups of 8 with only the top player from each group advancing to next round. This event will be played as a CTON.

Note: There will be no points awarded for this event. This event is planned to test the UUMadness in a competitive environment. This event will not be counted in the player limit.
Only the TOP 8 Teams in Points after the first 9 events can compete in Sunday's events. If less then 8 teams sign-up to play then we will take the top 4 for Sunday's events.

The End War
There will be 2 first round games with the odd teams in one and the even in the other, based on standings after all Saturday events. Top 2 from each game will then advance to the final match.
If there are any disputes, the TD in charge of that event will make a ruling. If challenged by either side, then a committee of at least 3 Ladder Admins and TD's (from different clans than those directly involved in the dispute) will be called upon to impartially reach a fair decision. All parties are bound by this decision.
NOTE: Players are expected to be in the lobby 15 minutes BEFORE the match starts to handle all registration issues so the events can start promptly. If no one from a clan has registered by the scheduled start time of the tourney, or contacted the TD, the TD will assume that the clan isn't entering that event, and the event will begin as soon as all registered clans have all their players checked-in and available. There is a maximum grace period of 10 minutes for all events and then the TD will close registration. Incomplete teams will be dropped from that event. (this will be strictly enforced by all TD/HTD/Admins)
