Yes, we know it's passworded. It will be un-passworded on opening day, where you'll find several useful articles. Right now we've got it locked up tight because of the need to not violate NDAs. Look for great tips there on opening day!

Thanks, I was wondering about that and kind of figured that was the deal.
So whats the official opening day?
24th (ship date)
or 25th (release date)?
Thanks

Not entirely sure anymore. I'll just open it when I can go to Gamestop and pick up my copy of the game.
I think I can tell the titles of the articles I'm working on in there, if anyone's interested.... ;D

But of course!Your articles posted in the 'Stategy' thread of C3C have been completely comprehensive & indispensable. If they are of the same calibre(& I'm sure they are),it's an odds-on bet lotsa CIVvers will want to know(& are hoping you'll do the same lists here)

Ya I loved your strategy guides in C3C, I also hope its the same format. Between you (and Cobras) help, I gained more knowledge in a few weeks than I did in the years before...including CIV 1 and 2

Here's what you can expect to see in the strategy forum after release...
Civilization 4: A Ladderite's Look A vital article for any ladder player; discussing the details of exactly how the civ MP experience has changed. How many turns can you play in two hours now? Builder or warmonger? Can you still throw a Dagger attack? Do the Aztecs require skill? ;D All this and more.
Lead with Confidence: Civilization 4's Leaders Roughly the same sort of article as the C3C civ analysis for MP article, goes through and gives the ladder-appropo analysis you can't find anywhere else!
The Era of Civilization: Knowing Your Era Starts Era starts are popular in C3C, and they will be much more so in CIV. Is the future era still a resource-monger's domain? Can you beat planes without your own? Find out here!
The Pen Really IS Mightier Than The Sword As anyone who looks at the tech tree can tell you, for a Ladderite, there's an obviously appealing route to be taken. This article discusses why going a different route - the route of libraries, alphabets, and numbers- might actually be the better path.
Fear My Shaved Head! Why Religion is a Factor A third point of view on the early game of civilization; why you should ignore alphabets and metals, and start hitting your knees and praying. Is Nirvana the route to Civilization glory? Find out!

Guys - Soren has requested that I keep my articles locked for a few days past release, so I'm going to honor his request. You can expect to see the strategy forum unlocked the Monday immediately after release - Oct 31. Look forward to your reading and input then!

That's still before some regions have the release, for most of europe and Austra/Asia it seems that 3rd Nov is the day it'll be on the shelves.

By the way, you might want to budget a few extra dollars when you buy the game to also purchase the OFFICIAL STRATEGY GUIDE which will be published around the same time the game comes out. Rumor has it that a certain person we all know was instrumental in its production.
