Jesus is NOT God surely!! Maybe if any of you so called Christians would actually read the bible you'd realize this fact. The trinity is absolute hogwash. If you worship God then worship Him, but do not worship Christ like he is the Father. Common Sense folks. Here are a few examples in Scripture:
"Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve" Luke 4:8.
Notice the words: "Him ONLY." Jesus did not say "US only," or "Him and I only." How could he possibly make it more clear than that? What abstract meaning are we now going to concoct for this verse to show that what Jesus "really" meant was "worship BOTH of us"?
Jesus saith unto her, ... worship the Father" John 4:2.
"But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship HIM" John 4:23.
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven." Matthew 7:21.
"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind." Matthew 22:37.
Strangely enough, even though Jesus is regarded as the "incarnation" of God, and wholly equal to God in every respect, and all three are "one" God, still, no one has ever gone on and attempted to explain if this is so why Jesus would then need to pray, let alone to his own self:
"And he (Jesus) went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will but as thou [wilt]." Matthew 26:39
"He (Jesus) went away again the second time, and prayed (to another side of his 'triune' self?), saying, O my Father, if this cup may not pass away from me, except I drink it, thy will be done." Matthew 26:42
"And he (Jesus) left them, and went away again, and prayed (to whom? To himself?) the third time, saying the same words." Matthew 26:44
"And he (Jesus) withdrew himself into the wilderness, and prayed." Luke 5:16
"And he (Jesus) went forward a little, and fell on the ground, and prayed that, if it were possible, the hour might pass from him." Mark 14:35
If Jesus "is" God, and if both are different names for one "triune" God, and if all three "persons" are "co-equal, co-eternal, and consubstantial," then WHY is Jesus praying to himself? Is he praying to another side of his own personality? Is he praying to his own essence? Why? Why does the "incarnation" of God need to pray, beseech, sweat, and plead with his own essence? If I have both a father and a number of sons, then can my "fatherly" nature plead with my "sonly" nature to save it from danger? Why? For what purpose?
"DO NOT CLING TO ME, FOR I HAVE NOT YET ASCENDED TO MY FATHER, BUT GO TO MY BRETHREN AND SAY TO THEM, I AM ASCENDING TO MY FATHER AND YOUR FATHER, AND TO MY GOD AND YOUR GOD."
JOHN 20:17
Would it surprise you to know that one of the most prominent doctrines in Christianity today has no basis in scripture? The doctrine of the "Holy Trinity" considered by many to be essential to one's very salvation, is not found in Christianity until at least three hundred years after the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Even more shocking is the fact that the concept of a triune godhead likely comes from the traditions of paganism!
And lets not forget the Trinitarians favorite bible verse John5:7-8
"For there are three that bear witness in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit, and these three are one."
There is an enormous problem however in using these verses to bolster the trinity doctrine. The passage is not authentic! These words only appear in five later manuscripts and are not found in any of the earlier New Testament texts. These verses are such obvious forgeries that even staunch Trinitarian scholars have been forced to admit as much.
the trinity is hogwash.
In all cases Jesus Christ speaks of his Father being his superior. Here are just a few scriptures,
"As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father." (John 6:57)
"My doctrine is not mine but his who sent me." (John 7:16)
"For the Father judges no one, but committed all judgment to the SON." (John 5:22)
"And I bestow upon you a kingdom, just as my Father bestowed one upon me." (Luke 22:29)
"All authority has been given to me in Heaven and on earth." (Matthew 28:18)
"All things have been delivered to me by my Father" (John 11:27)
"In this love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his son to be a propitiation for our sins." (1st John 4:10)
"Of that day and hour (when God's kingdom is set up fully) knoweth no man, no not angels, neither the Son, but my Father only." (Mark 13:32)
"And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. (Revelations 19:10)
But from the words of 'christ' himself, "Do not worship me as you worship my father."
