It took me forever to learn this, because those who know dont like to pass on the info, and its not documented anywhere ;D
If you set a unit, or units to move at the end of your turn, that is, click them on the square you want them to be in next turn, and hold down control-a through the end of the turn, and into the next turn, your units will move immediately at the beginning of the turn. This beats out trying to use the number pad to quick move them.
Control-a will NOT work under the following circumstances:
1. If you have an enemy unit within one tile, or if your units pass by the enemy units on their path to where they are going, it will not work, the units will freeze immediately when coming within one tile of an enemy unit.
2. control-a does not supersede the 8 second delay if you moved your units too close to the end of turn.
Otherwise, control-a works great, may save you if you're in a situation where you need to try and move quickly into a tile.

Great stuff. Will they pause if an enemy worker is in theyre path (i assume yes) What if you spam ctrl + a will it move even if there is enemy units on the path? (keep ctrl+a constantly)

(keep ctrl+a constantly) Dunno if enemy worker will freeze the units or not, but I do know that if the worker steps onto a tile that was in your path, the computer automatically changes the path for you, which might make your units take a path that wont get them to your destination on the turn you were hoping. Spamming cntrl-a will not keep your units moving if there is an enemy within 1 tile, because the game wants to prompt you for a new command. Its like when an enemy is by your worker, and you have to redo the command for the worker every time.

I would like to add that selecting a city and quing up a move to another city will work exellent with ctrl + a. A unit finishing the next turn will imidiatly move to the defending city. Saved my ass one game So I guess I will be using ctrl + a from time to time even if im a numpad spammer by heart

Also it only seems to work on defence, attleast i havent gotten it to attack a stack out in the open with ctrl + a. Wont work to attack units, because it will automatically reset the move the instant it comes within one tile of an enemy unit, therefore, you cant cntrl-a into the units. However, if you are racing to an empty city, you can get it that way.

Sometimes a fastmove can beat your ctrl-a, but your opponent would have to have a ridiculously strong system. PS -- Stop giving away all of our secrets TBS... especially defensive ones
