My appologies if this has been covered before, however i did not see a topic regarding it:
scenario: 130 turn 8-player FFA CTON On turn 89 it is learned that one of the 8 players has been kicked/suspended/is-not-part-of the ladder.
What happens? Is this covered in the rules and I have missed it? No admin was found in the lobby to ask a clarificaiton from. None of the 7 ladder players in the game knew the answer for certain, and no consensus could be reached on whether to continue or scrap the game.
thank you, bob

It is the host's responsibility to ensure that all players in the staging room are members of the ladder (and in good standing) prior to launching the game. While I'm no administrator, it is my opinion that because the game never should have started with a non-ladder player in it, then it must be scrapped.

A teamer would most certainly have to be scrapped, a ffa/cton could be reported as if the player didn't exist, but all would have to agree to that, other wise it's a scrap. The rules don't mention this as it's not suppose to happen all players are suppose to be verified.

yes, it may be the host's responsiblity to check and verify that all members are ladder, however:
ANYONE in the game can help the host check during the waiting time for settings, team-picking, etc.
I ALWAYS check, no matter who the host is (and I usually tell the host that I'll verify members while he deals with set-up and set-up questions/issues.
I think we've all been burned by this at least once - give the host a hand a help a little.
The SECOND most annoying thing that hapens is when a host changes "options" after all have checked in just prior to launch.

In the case that the host changes the settings right before launching. You have the right to scrap that game. It's in the ladder rules: laying a Match
Once you have found an opponent and you are ready to start your match, there are some rules about the match to keep in mind.
o Settings :
+ There are no illegal settings for Ladder matches as long as BOTH players agree to them before the match begins. If someone starts the game with incorrect settings you should point it out and immediately return to chat. This will allow you to make sure you both understand what the other player wants. You can then restart the match. "
Now, not checking the settings before launch is another story....
