I was wondering why people dont just use pangea contienent maps they are the normal map.. and i have like it much more as it keeps all aspects of civ4 not only one type of land mostly.. as well it has good starting positions... some maps like lakes and some others probably that i dont know about have really bad locations starting clsoe to neighbors. Anyone can give a list of what the maps r like or the bad ones due to loacation or something else ...?

Well, continent maps have never been big in MP, whether it C3C or CIV. I haven't played pangea before, so I can't really say. I mostly play Wheel when playing MP, sometimes balanced and maybe sometimes Hub or Lakes. Nobody plays continent maps because they simply are unpredictable and nobody wants to start on some lame little piece of land by themselves, because it's much harder to attack... but it is easier to expand. In beta testing, I believe one of the maps had you starting on 3 square islands of tundra... ouch
