This will be a Beta Testers only tournement held Wednesday, 7 o clock Eastern time. plus1.igl.net/tourney/civ4players/700656/Only register if you are a beta tester. I will know if you are not. There will be a room set up in YIM for this tourney, and since all beta testers practically have YIM, it should not be a problem.Copy of the Rules-v87 Beta Disk CIV- -120 Turns- -"Duel" Size- -"Lakes" Map- -RANDOM Civs- -Double City Elimination- -No Barbarians- -No Tech Trading- -BETA TESTERS Only- -Fast Timer- -No Subbing allowed.- -Ancient Age start- -Quick game Speed- -Temperate climate- -Medium SeaLevel- This is my first tournament, so I am open to any suggestions/tips/constructive critisism. OK,
You have the tournament set for 3 rounds; that allows only 8 players. I don't know how many you anticipate having; but it never hurts to set the number of rounds higher. When you launch the tournament the brackets will compress to accomodate the number of players.
You have the tournament seeded by "rating". I don't know how the software will handle this as nobody has a rating yet. I suggest you set it to "random".
The rules page uses HTML for page formating. At least use <BR> for line breaks.

Ok, you are a TD, you need to face the criticism . It´s a terrible time for europeans! It would be no problem if it was a weekend tourney - but wednesday...

I understand your problem Rep, and I'm sure Sparta and the other TD's will run tournaments on the weekend. Perhaps we could get a euro TD to run a tournament earlier in the day for euros and NA players not at work/school? CS

You should also put this tourny on the forum's calendar. I wrote a post on how to do so on the TD board.

Given the staggered release and all, I'm going to be pushing back my tournament a bit, so feel free to run it this weekend.

I've posted this over on the MP Tournaments forum at ACS so hopefully we will get enough testers to run the tournament today. But we do need to advertise our tournaments as far as we can in advance if we want more participation.

I'll probably run a bigger beta testers only on the weekend, then after that start setting up normal tourneys to normal ladder players.

Why run another beta one? Open the floor to anyone who wants a shot at it.

That sounds like a pretty good idea actually. I'll have to look into the settings of tourneys and stuff and see how that can be set up.

Actually alot of germans have the game, I'm not sure how it was released there but no in the rest of europe. I should have my game for the weekend. Let me know Sparta or magzi if you are running a tournament and I'll push it at ACS too, but the more notice the better.

I don't mind running one but, not having seen the game yet I would need help with what to run/rules/settings etc If someone can help me with this I'll set one up.

A early evening european time tournament this weekend would be great. I have to work at 9pm eastern both days Please make it open to all those of us non beta testers should expect to get whooped but that don't mean we don't want to play.
