land wasnt that bad in ironman imo - what screwed us was all these dropings and subbings - there are ladder rules - like 3 drops and u are out - 10 min gone and u are out - I strongly suggest to force such rules also in ccc - epsacially in a 11 man game - we wasted 1,5!! hours just cause some1 forgot his pw - wtf - there was allready rulling that he s out, suddenly he comes abck
thats just rude for others and after these 1,5 hours fun was gone for every1 - people started leaving gettings subs - just conceded - and all this took even more time.

One other thing.. please no more barbs in later era starts. I shouldnt be afraid to do that quick boat drop or chop outside my radius because a barb axe may show up on my border one turn later. Also I want to kill my opp not have a barb do it for me.

The Great Plaines map was bullnuts. I had two opponents within 8 squares and no 2 hammer squares to work. Both my opponents did as they had warriors on my borders as my first warrior was built. I think it is quite unfair to be dead on launch which what the center start area on a Great Plains map is. You have no 2 hammer squares until you can pasture the cows.
Doesn't anyone look at these maps before they allow therm for CCC play. The center start area on Great Plains is known to be a deathtrap due to the reliance on pastured cows for hammers. The player in the center is a prime target for rushers as they have to either sacrifice growth for production or pray nobody finds them before they get their worker out. What amkes it even tougher is the center location means the double team is easier to accomplish. You then have a player being out produced 4 to 1.

am i the only 1 figuring that playing future isnt playing civ but some bugged exploit nuts
its all about who got most food and can drfat and poprush like crazzy not about any buildups skillz or so
i really hope that this nuts ll get either patchd to start with smaller ciites and less crap or it ll be out of a CIV4 ccc - cause ccc should be about civ not about some buggy crap
oh well and then I dont wana accuse some1 but random era witht he known bug of not a random seed of era is maybe a bit ... oh well chance to get futre can be either 10% as it should be or 80% when host have done fuutre before - and if hosts plays only fuutre - outcome might get kinda in his favour or not?
so the host dont have to master all eras in this crap but just 1 ... and hope he face some dude who prefers playing civ4
it s really sad that ccc gets decided by such bad bugs which kills a lot of fun

phitrigger.... Welcome to the CCC ;D Anyone who has won it will tell you it is a war of attrition. We are against preliminaries because the CC is the opportunity for all players to face off. The good, the bad and the ugly..everyone gets a shot come CC time. Past winners have gone 46 hours without sleep I think you already have preliminaries, they are just masked by "byes". What I mean by preliminaries, is you simply have all teams apply for the event ahead of time, and the lower ranked teams that are going to have to play round 1 will play ahead of time. Then when you say "this event starts at such and such a time" it isn't a big sack of lies . Another comment...I really don't like the idea of the person originally registered getting losses for someone else's loss in the case that they can't make every game. If my team was going to compete, there were certain events I had to register for - I was the only person around - which is ok, I wanted to play, but if in the case of the ren teamer especially, when I can't even play a single game of the event due to that game starting over 4 hours after the original start time, is it really fair I get free losses tacked onto my ladder record?

Second, on such map some team may have 2-2.5 times more land than another team. Yes but on a map without any iron or copper the aztecs or Mali is overpowered and unbeatable... They have to win, no other way... And anyway the problem is that such a game is not interesting at all and the issue is not about skill but about the civ you choose. Nah try to play with 2 starting scouts without metal vs 2 starting warriors and 2 metal in capital

As i played more then 600 games I tryed many maps and wonder why peps dont play pangea. Pangea is less buged then lakes or balancedand it is 100% random. U dont kno enemies postotion etc.. like in inland sea, ring ...

That's a limitation of the Cases Software, it doesn't support subs, so basically we can continue like we are, you you realize that you are "taking one for the team" or we outlaw subbing. I think most clans will want the former CS

Well cant we kick those Great plain maps in the anc and get Team Battle for that,
And maybe get a 5vs5 event on anc TB with random civs
we don't need any future non are playing it
and in anc it is stupid to keep a city

It's not because you don't play future that no one playing it. We have 3 ancient games in CCC that is enough I think. Ninou Well lets see, our ladder has more then 50000reports, lets use this as 100 %, so now the game is out since 5 month, so 10000 reports per month, and from those 10000 per month aren't more then 50 from a future game, so that we have a 0,5% all of our games are future so now we 9 events one is future (and one is random so it can be future but wont count that) this event takes 11.1 % of the CCC and that means that for less then 1 % all games we need to play a event that stupid and waist of time, so take it out, no one wants to play that and put events we wane play!

This is nothing about them, and i doubt that SID would cry about that , well its more how the scenario is at the moment it is boring and no one wants to play it, to make it better, we might go back how it was in C3C where future is still the most played age at the ladder, 1 settler and nothing else.

I'm agree with Germania : I would like to see, in the next CCC, these events :
- 9 VS 9 Ancient. - 8 VS 8 Ancient. - 7 VS 7 Ancient.
and...to change a little bit...
- 6 VS 6...Ancient !
I love statistics when I see this type of reasoning argument. I'm convulsed with laughter...It's very funny.
PS : what about the reports of Ironman games ? I suggest a substitution by a 10 VS 10 Ancient !

well we can start about that sure we can recount this np, but wont change thats why i said less then 1 % already knew this would come, so we have at least 50% tamers so that: y = 5000X(teamers) : 10000 = y =0.5 {50 : 10000y} < 0.1 = x<1 % and bigger then a 6vs6 doesn't work good ( to many ladders have to less PC) and 5vs5 works always great in ancient

50 % teamer games ? I hope you're kidding. Top 50 players play many teamer games, that's right. But what about the others ? If you really think that the 500 bottom players play at least 10% teamer games, just let me laugh.
