Any interest in starting up a CIV ICDG? Setting one of these up could gain some interest for our ladder and our clans.
Maybe we could start organizing one and plan to start it after the next patch comes out (if there is going to be another?). If we play one of these and hype it up, I'm sure many new clans will pop up before the 2nd one commences, and recruiting and ladder membership will most likely rise (i.e. other civ sites will become interested).
Let me know if anyone is interested (i.e. clan leaders). I could organize this or help out in any way.
NOTE: ICDG = Interclan Democracy Game. Each clan gets a civ in a PBEM game, where the clans set up some sort of government to dictate their civ. Its pretty fun.

I heard the PBEM feature is not working properly, have a look in the play-by-Email section.

Hence, we will organize it to start after the next patch.

Although LOD has bare minimal numbers in Civ4, we are still interested also.

Hence, we will organize it to start after the next patch. You do realize that the odds that it will be fixed in the next patch are very slim.

Yes, I understand this might take a while to execute, but from what experience I got from the c3p icdg, the hardest part is getting the thing organized (i.e. turn times, settings, getting clans together). If we start organizing now, when the next patch or whenever the pbem supposedly gets fixed, we can test it, then hit the ground running once it works. Or you could just not participate..........

What PBEM issues are you guys talking about? AFAIK the only issue at all right now is that the ingame email save doesn't work with any service that doesn't use port 25. And this is only a small issue as you can still manually email it.

I'll test the PBEM situation this weekend. I still think it would be a good idea to wait until the next patch to start it up, so we're using the latest version.
I'll start an email list for all the interested clans that have posted on this thread.

I highly recommend this.
I am currently the President of the PAL team in the Intersite game. When I first joined in the middle of the first round I figured "this is kinda dumb, endless discussion about where to assign a worker, game drags on forever...."
Once I became active I found it to be intensely enjoyable. There are 2 benefits I guarantee will accrue to you through participation:
1. You will get to know your clanmates better 2. You will learn to play the game better.
And it's great fun, especially the interpersonal dynamics of the team experience.
I hope GC participates, if they don't I would like help administer the game.

And I'm one of the 4 civs - playing as ZIP - remember them? We're in 2nd place with THOR leading, KC and CIA are also there.
Best, SPM
PS: I'm sure The Illuminati would like to participate as well. Waiting for one more patch is probably a good idea.

Got an email list going. Per the discussions which occured/shouldn't have occured about the next patch, I'll keep this list open until more info on the next patch is released.
In the meantime, I'll start making a list of things that need to be discussed and voted on by team captains(map settings, rules, turn time limits, etc.) and other issues that came up during the start of the c3c ICDG to try and make the startup as smooth as possible.
As far as running this thing goes, if there are no objections, I will sit out to organize it. I'm more interested in getting one going and getting the word out than playing in it.
I was thinking that we would just let the admin team hash out any rule violations/cheating accusations/etc (which I don't expect much of, but who knows), but any help organizing and/or monitoring this thing would be appreciated.
