ok. i installed my Civ4. Then i installed Beyond Sword. After playing for an hour and having multiple crashes whenever i opened the civolopedia, i was advised to install the 3.13 patch which i did. However now, after i put the BTS disk one in, and the setup screen comes up and i click play, the game loads but stays in the desktop, left with the loading screen in all the different languages. Any ideas what is wrong? please help.

immo, unfortunately I think that you should uninstall BTS and Civ4 and delete the folders and try a fresh install, it just sounds like you have some bad files or a bad install as some point.

ok new problem. i uninstalled BTS and Civ4. i reinstalled civ4. then i install bts but now when i put in the second disk it tells me there is nothing there or something about an incorrect pathway, and then it buggers up my cd drive so now it reads nothing so i have to restart. i have no idea what to do.

ive come to the conclusion that now my cd drive is broken. so i think its off to best buy to get them to fix it for me.

Yes it is quite possible that your failing CD ROM Drive was corrupting your installation. I hope the new CD drive solves the issue.

3.13 is the latest patch version and dont forget to open port 2056 UDP and TDP Oh and Welcome to C4
