Just adding some personal experience, I had played a version of Civ 1 that we could play multiplayer, but only IP to IP. It was funny because we could change the face of the leaders, if they were angry or not and I usually played it with some (nerd) friends and always putting that nasty faces ;D

It worked really bad and I hadn't any contact to multiplayer version of CIV 2 and when they launched Civ 3 with multiplayer I was working too hard to play any game. So, despite having a lot of contact to offline versions, my first real online was with Civ 4.

Ps. In the first version we could also play using modem to modem connection rofl

Ya that was CivNet, we used to use a CivNet IRC channel to gather people for a game, it was pretty rough as an mp game :P

I think there is a list of C3P CCC winner over at the C3P forums, and Mookie has made one here in our CCC sub forum.

Canuck was my inspiration for growing my moustache, it still needs mroe time and work but it's slowly getting there now!!! :D

I would love to see a complete history on the ccc need to go to the old forums to see the discussion threads, would take a lot of manpower to read through it all but it's a total GEM when it comes to the amount of BS that was thrown around once a month :) ah good times good times.
