Nice website...
But 2 pionts:
1) Rather disappionted i couldnt see the tips a tricks section of the forum, i wanted to nick all the STYX vault of knowledge has to offer. (Is there anyway in there without being a clan member? Im quite curious)

I am looking to join a clan. The following is a copy and paste from my first post.
Hello everyone. "Please allow me to introduce myself. I'm a man of wealth and fame...", well not really. My name is CoitusMaximus. I have been playing this game since the early days of Civ2. About the last year of that I played most of my games at Deity. Now to the near present I have played Civ4, Warlords, Amra's mod, then the Visa team's mod, very good work by the way, kudos. I had my first mp experience fall 06, played hotseat untill late spring 07 then LAN. About 1st. wk of Aug I won my first game at prince. Soon after that I played my first online game and have been beaten badly since. I had come close to accusing a couple of guys of cheating. I just could not see how it is possible they had longbows, xbows, knights etc, while I had axes. I still don't see how it is possible.
I would like to join a clan, join a ladder, play teams, and tournaments, etc. but do not want to be responsible for the demise of my team mates. So now for the big Q. How the hell do you do it? I know there is no simple answer.
I have been reading the War Academy articles and some/a lot of it doesn't make since. How do you build workers and settlers for early expansion at the same time you build a bunch of units for an early war? How can you build nothing in your Sci/Com city but sci/com multipliers then nothing but units while at war if you have not built a forge or barracks there? How do you build a bank or university there in a timely fashion w/o a forge? Does not make since to me.
I like to slave pop rush but the timing of whip cracking for one pop and is rare and very tedious. I consider myself a semi-micromanager as mm also gets very tedious and detracts from the fun of game play.
I describe my style as city building perfectionist, But since mp have been force to become much more of a cave man. I am not much interested in playing for anything but conquest/domination as none of the other will work while losing all your cities to the warmongers amongst us.
Most of my LAN/hotseat has been on Anc/Tiny/Pan/Temp/Low, Raging Barbs, Adv start. Mostly using Cyrus, DeGaulle, Lincoln, Elizibeth, and Nat.Am, Carhtaginians for the Nub. Cav to counter the Dog Soldiers, Holy Rome, the Landsknect is a very effective unit and maybe a few others.
I like to get wow's and use the gp to rush more wow's. or lightbulb more techs.
My main concern is sci/tech., then use that to build a superior military and take cities instead of build them.
This is my first post, and do not know where this should be posted.
I appreciate any assistance, and am looking forward to getting to know some of you better. CoitusMaximus.

Speak to a few members of STYX visit our website for a upto date list of members (clan roster) Im on holiday till next monday and wont see my PC till then
